No, the app is not designed to work on an iPad or other tablet. It is developed to work on Android and iOS smart phones only and therefore must be run on your mobile phone to work.

To delete the watch, while logged into the App, click on watches, click on the person symbol on the top right, press and hold on the watch listed on screen until “Delete this watch?” appears and then click OK.

As a Safety feature, when the Master Guardian deletes the watch from their list, the watch is deleted from all sub-guardians lists. This ensures that no sub-guardians remain connected to a watch when you may be providing the watch to a new wearer. This also allows a new person become the Mater Guardian and let people become a sub-guardian with approval of the new Master Guardian

No, our App is not designed for Windows phones and does not work on BlackBerry devices.  There may be some Android mobile phones that conflict with Android Apps including our App.

The Sony Experia is not suitable for use with our Liberty watch and App  as it can conflict with Android Apps including our WatchOvers App, affecting the use of the location map.

To change Master Guardian, the current Master Guardian must delete the watch from their smartphone which will allow you to become the new Master Guardian after you pair the watch again.

To delete the watch and release control, the Master Guardian can press the screen on the watch name for 3 seconds and press OK. The watch is now free to be paired to the persons smartphone making them the Master Guardian.

With Multi-User, our App will allow you monitor all your loved ones from your smart phone.   You can add as many Liberty watches to your App once you have the Master Guardians’ permission or you are the master guardian.

Very handy on days out such as going to the park, a trip to the Zoo or on holidays when they all head off in different directions.

To Edit or Delete any information on the watch such as pre-set numbers, Safe Zones, Alarm clock etc. touch on the area on the screen to Modify the information.

manage watches

Easy to manage the contacts through the WatchOvers App, giving the parent/carer control on who can call the watch and who the watch can call, keeping your loved ones safe from unsolicited callers.  These numbers can be updated and changed as often as you like.

There is one Master Guardian of a watch and this master guardian allows access to the watch to sub- guardians.  Simply put, the first person to add the watch to the App on their smart phone, automatically becomes the Master Guardian of that watch and can then give access/permission to several sub guardians (family members, grand parents, siblings, child minders etc).  The master guardian controls the settings and contact numbers for the watch, whilst sub guardians can access the location map and set safe zones for the watch.

All settings and changes are updated instantly with no long delays or difficult settings.

Emergency numbers:

Three Primary numbers can be set that the wearer can call for help by pressing the SOS dialling button for 3 seconds in case of an emergency.

The watch will dial these 3 numbers one by one, twice.  An SOS notification message will also be sent to everyone that has that watch paired to the App.  The watch will stop dialing once the call as been connected to any of the numbers.

Emergency numbers

Friend’s  numbers:

5 additional numbers can be set which are allowed to call the watch and the watch can call them.  The list of friends’ numbers will be displayed by pressing the dialling button once, one press at a time to scroll down. Select the highlighted number and press the dialling button for 3 seconds to dial that number.

Friends numbers

Silent Monitoring Numbers:

The silent monitoring numbers and SOS number / friends numbers can be the same.  If your mobile number is set as a monitoring number only (not an SOS or friend number) when you dial from your phone, it will make a silent monitoring call and when you press “call” in the App, it will also make a silent monitoring call.

If your mobile number is set as both a silent monitoring number and an SOS or Friends number, when you dial from your phone, it will activate a normal 2 way call, but when you press “call” in the App, it will only make a silent monitoring call.

Silent monitoring numbers

If your loved one is uncontactable or cannot answer a call, the guardian can call the watch in Silent Monitor mode and the Watch will answer automatically, allowing only the guardian to listen in on the surrounding environment, ensuring the safety of your loved ones. This feature is a great safety feature reassuring you that your loved ones are safe.  It is very useful for very young children or if you are concerned that your loved one may have had a fall and may not be able to make a call themselves.

The watch will answer automatically in mute without ringing and the screen will not turn on.  The guardian can listen but the wearer cannot talk back as it is one way communication.

The Watch will send Alert messages automatically to all guardians of the watch, through the WatchOvers App on their mobile phone such as when the battery is low, or, if the wearer leaves or enters a SafeZone. The 3 emergency contacts receive the SOS Emergency notifications if the wearer makes an SOS Emergency Call.

You can also send a short text message or reminder alarm to the watch at a pre-set time using the Alarm setting in our App such as “Dinner is Ready” or “Doctors at 4pm”. This is a one way messaging function for the parent/guardian to discreetly get in touch without calling.

Notifications

To view the notifications logs on your phone, click the Menu symbol on the App screen face or swipe right on the screen and click Notifications, to view all notifications.  When the watch enters or exits a Safe Zone, receives a message or dials the SOS emergency numbers, your phone will receive the notification on the App.

Notifications

Safe Zones also known as Geo Fencing allows you to set outdoor virtual boundaries on a map to create Safe Zones for your loved one. Set a Safe Zone such as from your house to their school or the shops and can be setup by date.

If your loved one enters or leaves a Safe Zone, you will receive an alert through the App on your mobile phone.  Safe Zones can be set for either entering or exiting areas.

The SafeZone radius can be set between 500 and 2,000 meters. The minimum radius of 500 meters will give you accurate outdoor alerts as the technology is developed to work with GPS technology.  If the wearer goes indoors, the LBS is not as accurate as GPS  and therefore can result in false alert notifications being sent.*

*The watch location is updated every 20 minutes and any SafeZone boundary alerts are updated at the same time.  Opening the location map will also send any alerts that are waiting to be sent.

When your loved ones are out and about, locate them through the WatchOvers App on your smart phone instantly, letting you see where they are no matter how far away.  Feel more confident giving your kids a little more freedom while enjoying extra peace of mind.

Once you open the location map in our App, the current location will be updated within 2 minutes. There is no need to press the Live button to get the current location.

When outdoors, the Liberty uses GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) to send its position via overhead satellites to pinpoint the watch’s location, with accuracy of 3 meters to 30 meters.

When indoors, accuracy is reduced from 10 meters to 100 meters or more and can show as the house next door, or further away depending on the proximity to the nearest mobile mast. GPS devices are primarily for outdoor location but remember with two-way calling, you can call your loved ones any time.

The Location Map shows you the location of your loved one, when you open the screen it can take 2 minutes to update the real time /current location.  The location box reports what the watch is working off, either GPS or LBS, to give you its current location.

When the location box reports LBS (Local Base Station) generally the watch is indoors and this indicates cellular positioning which is usually accurate from 100 meters to 1000+ meters depending on the distance away from the nearest mobile phone base station (LBS) that the watch is registered to.

In general, GPS devices are designed for outdoor use, therefore they are not as accurate when used indoors. Please note that when locating a watch that is indoors, the location can show as close as the house next door, or a lot further away depending on the LBS unit it is connected to.  It is important to look at the location box to see if the watch is using GPS or LBS for location as LBS is not as reliable.

But remember if you have a concern all you have to do is call them, the watch is a phone!

Location

For normal use, the watch will operate under normal work mode, reporting the current location at 20 minute intervals.

When you press the Live button watch, the watch will operate under high frequency positioning mode.  High frequency will send the location every 60 seconds for the next 10 minutes.

On the Location box, click on the left or right arrows on screen to check the location history.

The blue pin shows the current location with the red pins showing the location history.

  • GPS indicates satellite positioning
  • LBS+ indicates cellular and WiFi positioning
  • GPS accuracy is 3m to 30 m
  • LBS (without WiFi) is accurate from 100m to 1000m+
  • LBS+ (with WiFi) is accurate from 50m to 500m+

Location

The watch is indoors if this is happening. The watch is primarily a GPS device for when the wearer is outdoors. For outdoor location working on GPS (Global Positioning Satellite), this means it gets its position when the watch is outdoors and can access a satellite. When you are looking at the location map on our App you will see a location box and, on the top right hand side of this box, it indicates what the watch is working off, either GPS or LBS, to give you its current location.

When the watch is indoors and GPS is displayed on the App, up you can sometimes get shadowing which can make the GPS location display anywhere from 10 meters to 100+ meters from its actual location.

LBS (Local Base Station) can be displayed when the watch is indoors and this indicates cellular positioning which is usually accurate from 100 meters to 1000+ meters depending on the distance away from your nearest mobile phone base station that the watch is registered to.

In general GPS devices are designed for outdoor use, therefore they are not as accurate when used indoors. Please note that when locating a watch indoor the location can show as close as the house next door, or a lot further away depending on the LBS unit it is connected to. It is important to look at the location box to see if the watch is using GPS or LBS for location as LBS is not as reliable.
